Quality Control Engineer

Alderley Systems, based in Wickwar, South Gloucestershire, are leaders in the design and manufacture of Metering and Produced Water Systems for the Oil & Gas Industry.

The Quality Assurance department is looking to recruit an additional Quality Control Engineer to work as a part of a team responsible for the following activities:

internal auditing
maintenance of the system used for approval of sub vendors
review of client specifications
collating contractual documentation
control and issue of procedures and documentation
ensuring that contractual inspection requirements are met and that activities noted on quality plans are adhered to
liaison with external and client inspection agencies where required
generating defect reports and verifying that corrective / preventive actions have been addressed
generate and control project Punch Lists
record and analyse welder repair rates
vendor inspection visits
maintaining calibration system of inspection and test equipment
archiving of departmental documentation

All the above activities will be shared between team members and training will be provided where required.

3D Mechanical Designer

Alderley Systems Ltd currently have a vacancy for a 3D Mechanical Designer at their offices in Wickwar, South Gloucestershire.

Candidates for this position must have the ability to create a 3D design of skid mounted process packages, including structural steel and pipework modelling and from this model to develop the necessary 2D fabrication drawings and bills of material. Ability to understand client and international specifications and apply them to the design is essential.

Experience of Bentley AutoPlant 3D software is preferable, however, users of other 3D packages (AutoCAD, CADWORX) will be considered.

The successful candidate needs to demonstrate relevant direct experience of structural steel design in a materials handling environment (such as conveyor design), water industry, petrochemical industry, or oil & gas and should be qualified to a minimum of HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.

Pipe Fitter / Fabricator

Alderley Systems Ltd require a Pipe Fitter / Fabricator to join their team at Wickwar, South Gloucestershire.

The position involves the fabrication of carbon and stainless steel pipework to detail drawings and the subsequent assembly of the finished spools, associated valves and equipment into our skid mounted packages.

Applicants should be time served, ideally with experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, and used to working to procedures in accordance with ISO9001 Quality Assurance system.

Instrument Fitter

Alderley Systems, based in Wickwar, South Gloucestershire, are leaders in the design and manufacture of Metering and Produced Water Systems for the Oil & Gas Industry.

We currently require a pipefitter experienced in the bending and installation of 316 stainless tube and compression fittings used for process and air supply pipework to valves and instrumentation.

Responsibilities will include installing instrumentation, stainless tube systems and supports on our skid based process packages as well as manufacturing of support systems using stainless steel unistrut and cable tray.

The successful candidate must be able to read engineering drawings and use their initiative in determining the best installation location. Ability to work as part of a team of mechanical fitters and installers is required. Applicants must be prepared to learn new skills from other team members.
