Procurement Manager
Alderley Systems Ltd is seeking a Procurement Manager to ensure proactive strategic focus justified on the basis that the organisation’s expenditure with outside organisations represents 60% of total turnover.
The Role:
- Establishment of a professional procurement department within Alderley Systems.
- Ensure increased measurable value and competitive advantage through proactive commercial management of the organisations supply chain.
- Implementation, management and measurement of internal processes and systems from identification of need to payment to ensure appropriate levels of management information and improved efficiencies.
- Development of internal cross functional relationships to ensure stakeholder buy in and support for purchasing activities and change management.
Personal Characteristics:
- Track record of demonstrable savings achieved in a variety of commodity areas in both direct and indirect expenditure.
- Highly developed negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Team player, strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to generate trust and effective internal relationships.
- Of graduate calibre with full membership (or at least working towards) the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
- Thrives on challenging the status quo with the necessary drive and adaptability to manage and implement change.
- Experience of or exposure to lean processes and tools such as well as continuous improvement philosophies.
- Background in oil and gas industry preferable but not essential.
- Experience of the implementation of systems, processes and procedures to minimise non value added activity.
Instrument Tube Fitters – Temporary Contract
SMS is seeking experienced Instrument Tube Fitters for site installation work.
The work will start mid August and is expected to continue until November.
Location – Lowestoft
